Whats up with the cats?
Someone help!
The population is growing in Washington County
I have seen so many stray cats this year, that it seems at times they almost out populate our residents in Hagerstown, Maryland. I'm a responsible owner of two rescued cats, vowing to put less into the population of strays. This summer, the population of cats seemed to explode as kittens followed their mamas around throughout our fair city. I am a cat lover, however I believe in population control. Here is a simple solution - spay or neuter your animals. There are several local vet clinics, humane shelter or the animal clinic through Pet Smart that offer reduced fees to prevent over population. By doing this, we will prevent our shelters from over filling and having animals starving due to not enough owners being able to properly provide care and often putting their pets onto the streets. Let's be responsible owners and take care of our pets. Remember the humane society is always in need of donations such as cat liter and boxes, cat and dog food, towels and blankets.
